Lately, doing tasks on the platform really feels a bit like clocking in at work: daily meetings (reading announcements), filling out forms (linking a bunch of accounts), writing weekly reports (posting on social media), and finally waiting for performance reviews (ratings). The witch thing can be understood, but the ratings are becoming more and more mysterious. As someone who reacts emotionally to these situations, I get anxious whenever I see “low score / suspected witch,” and my hand trembles as I go back to complete tasks, which only makes me feel more like I’m being led around...
On the macro side, there’s also chatter about interest rate cut expectations. The dollar index and risk assets are both rising and falling together, which looks more like emotional contagion. Whenever I get anxious, I want to grab some “certainty,” but I realize the most uncertain thing is this rating system.
What I regret isn’t the outcome, but turning “grinding” into attendance checks and pretending I’m investing. That’s it for now; I won’t work overtime tonight.
