Recently, I’ve been really into earning testnet points, claiming it’s practice, but honestly I’m just calculating “how much I can exchange in the future”… Once I have expectations, I need to set a stop-loss for myself, or else I’m just gambling my time and attention.
My simple method: first set daily/weekly limits (including time, Gas, and number of accounts), and stop once I exceed them; then set trigger conditions, such as frequent changes to task rules, increasing need for upfront capital, or the community starting to hype it up excessively, then I’ll just withdraw directly, even if I miss out, I won’t force it. (OCD kicking in: if I don’t write it in my notes, I’ll pretend I didn’t see it)
In the group these days, there’s been talk again about stablecoin regulation, reserve audits, and de-pegging rumors. When emotions run high, it’s easy to treat “points” as stable too. Honestly, these are tail risks: they seem small probability, but once they happen, it’s chain reactions.
Anyway, I only see the testnet as practice, don’t turn it into liabilities.
