Just caught cocoa getting hammered again. NY futures dropped over 8% on Tuesday, hitting 2-year lows. London's in similar shape. The whole market seems to be pricing in this demand problem that nobody's talking about enough. European grinding numbers came in way worse than expected last quarter, and Asia's also showing weakness. Meanwhile West Africa's having this perfect weather setup - bigger pods, healthier crops. Ivory Coast and Ghana both reporting solid harvests coming, which is obviously not helping prices when demand is already soft. The real question is whether this turns into actual surplus territory. ICCO flipped from massive deficit to small surplus pretty quick, and if global demand stays this tepid, we could see real pressure build. Supply's tightening from Nigeria too, but that's not enough to offset the demand side right now. Watching to see if new cocoa price levels in Ghana and the region stabilize or if we test even lower.
