Chongqing lawyer Peng Jing involved in a 210 million stablecoin money laundering case under investigation, possibly related to the fall of Chongqing Mayor Hu Henghua

Multiple sources confirm that Peng Jing, founding partner of Chongqing Jingsheng Law Firm, was recently taken away by relevant authorities, suspected of involvement in a stablecoin bribery money laundering case.
It is reported that on March 20, 2026, Chongqing Mayor Hu Henghua was investigated, and on April 17, Chongqing Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee Luo Lin was dismissed; both are suspected of accepting bribes through stablecoin transactions.
Lin Kechuang previously paid Hu Henghua 30.8 million USDT (about 210 million RMB), of which 10 million was for fees.
After Hu Henghua was investigated, the flow of funds from cold wallets was exposed, with 15.5 million USDT suspected to have been transferred to Luo Lin.
Luo Lin's home did not find a cold wallet, but it was later discovered at a third party's residence.
