AIMCo Makes First Bitcoin-Linked Allocation With $219M Strategy Stake
Alberta Investment Management Corporation disclosed a $219 million position in Strategy Inc., marking its first Bitcoin-linked allocation. AIMCo bought 1.38 million MSTR shares for portfolios that include Alberta pension plans, endowments, and the Heritage Savings Trust Fund. AIMCo has not explained the rationale for the trade.
