Ripple Expands UAE Presence for MEA Clients - Crypto Economy
Ripple said that it opened a new Middle East and Africa regional headquarters in Dubai International Financial Centre, expanding its UAE presence as demand grows for regulated blockchain-powered payment and custody solutions across the region. The company said the new office creates capacity to double its regional operations.
The expansion affects Ripple’s clients and partners across the Middle East and Africa, including Zand Bank, Ctrl Alt, Garanti BBVA, Absa Bank, and Chipper Cash. Ripple said the larger DIFC office reflects growth since it first established its regional headquarters in Dubai in 2020, with the Middle East now representing a significant share of its global customer base.
The next point to watch is how Ripple uses its expanded team to deepen regional support. The company highlighted two regulatory milestones: its March 2025 DFSA license for regulated cross-border digital payment services and DFSA recognition of RLUSD as a crypto token for regulated firms in DIFC.
