I just had a moment of hesitation and copied the wrong digit in the transfer address. The heartbeat spiked the moment I clicked confirm... Luckily, the wallet popup stopped me just in time, or this wave of "education expenses" would have been more painful than a liquidation. Honestly, this situation is like a sandwich: you think you're catching an opportunity, but you might actually be paying someone else's fees, while also helping to smooth the path for them.

Recently, there's been talk about increasing taxes and compliance in certain regions, tightening and loosening regulations intermittently. As the expectations for deposits and withdrawals change, the on-chain liquidity becomes even more sensitive, with larger slippage, and sandwiches love to join the fun. Arbitrage definitely exists, but most of the time what I see is: by the time I place an order, others are already calculating how much more they're willing to pay. Anyway, now I prefer to slow down, split orders, and do small test runs—surviving is more important than "winning."
