Been looking into fast cash for business options lately and honestly there's way more players in this space than I expected. Everyone talks about Fundbox for startups, but I've been digging deeper and the landscape is pretty interesting.
So here's the thing with fast cash for business loans - they're not all created equal. Fundbox hits that sweet spot for newer businesses with up to $150k available in 24 hours and no application fees, which is solid. But if you've got sketchy credit, SBG Funding will work with you at 500 credit score and can get you up to $5 million in term loans. That's actually pretty wild.
The catch? Yeah, interest rates are steep across the board. We're talking 23% APR on the low end with SBG, and OnDeck goes up to 97% depending on your situation. QuickBridge and Kabbage are different beasts - they use factor rates instead of traditional APR, which honestly makes comparing everything a headache. But QuickBridge has this nice early payoff discount thing going.
Lendio stood out to me because it's basically a marketplace with 75 lenders bidding on your loan, which drives rates down. They've got the best reputation score on Trustpilot (4.8/5 with over 20k reviews) and rates start at 6% APR. That's actually competitive. Bluevine is another option if you're newer to business - they'll work with you at six months operating history versus the typical one-year requirement.
The trade-off is always the same though - fast cash for business means aggressive repayment schedules, weekly or biweekly payments, and often a personal guarantee on your assets. Kabbage requires 640 credit score minimum but has lower revenue requirements. OnDeck reports to business credit bureaus which helps build your score. Fundbox makes you do weekly payments which can be brutal.
I'd say check your credit score first, know your annual revenue, then match yourself to the lender. Startups → Fundbox. Bad credit → SBG Funding. Want the fastest approval → OnDeck same-day option. Want best rates → Lendio marketplace. It really depends what you're optimizing for.
