Holding positions, internal conflicts, blind confidence are the root causes of most people's losses.
The friend I want to talk about at the end is the most unfortunate one I’ve ever met. He has a certain trading foundation, understands some candlestick knowledge, analyzes the market thoroughly, but keeps making small profits and big losses.
His biggest problem is blind confidence, emotional trading, and always holding positions.
The market clearly broke support, the trend completely diverged from expectations, I repeatedly reminded him to cut losses and exit in time, but he always thought the market would rebound, insisting on holding on, resulting in increasing losses, and finally had to cut his losses, suffering heavy damage;
Sometimes he gets the right direction and profits, but always thinks about earning more, hesitating to take profits, and when the market reverses, profits turn into losses, ending up with nothing.
When the market fluctuates, he becomes restless, his emotions swing with the candlestick charts—excited when it rises, anxious and overwhelmed when it falls, frequently changing his trading plan and operating recklessly.
I’ve talked to him countless times: trading must be rational, accept losses, know when to cut and when to hold, don’t fight the market, and don’t be swayed by emotions. But he always agrees verbally, yet in practice, he completely loses control.
Over time, his capital keeps shrinking, and his mindset collapses completely, eventually having to leave the market in disappointment.
Actually, this is also a common problem among most crypto traders: when making profits, they can’t hold on; when losing, they stubbornly hold on, and emotions always override rules.
Market fluctuations are normal; oscillations are normal. We can’t change the market, only our mindset and operations. Learning to cut losses in time, understanding how to secure profits, and letting go of anxiety and internal conflicts are the keys to surviving long-term in this market.
Finally, Sister Yue wants to say:
Trading for so long, I increasingly feel that the crypto world is never a casino for overnight riches, but a journey of cultivation—cultivating the mindset, practicing patience, and competing in cognition and execution.
Don’t always think about doubling your holdings overnight, don’t envy others’ huge profits. Behind those seemingly glamorous riches are often unseen risks, or even irreversible outcomes.
For ordinary people to stand firm in this space, remember:
Participate with spare funds, no all-in, no leverage, no holding positions blindly, no emotional trading, stick to your trading rhythm, avoid greed and impatience, progress steadily, and earn what you can understand—that’s the most reliable way.
The market never lacks opportunities; don’t rush, take it slow, be steady, and you’ll go further. #BTC
