Hong Kong stocks close: Hang Seng Index falls 1.28%, Hang Seng Tech Index drops 0.79%
Hong Kong stocks closed lower, with the Hang Seng Index down 1.28% and the Hang Seng Tech Index down 0.79%. The Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Connect ETF Yinhua (159318) fell 0.82%, and the Hong Kong Stock Connect Technology ETF Penghua (159751) dropped 0.11%. By sector, the home goods and gas sectors led in gains; industrial group enterprises and the auto sector led in declines. In individual stocks, Tianzhi Zhixin rose 21.3%, Haixi New Medicine rose 9.21%, Jiufang Zhitou Holdings rose 8.84%, Biren Technology rose 8.22%, and Wo’an Robotics rose 8.05%; Changfei Optical Fiber & Cable fell 13.78%, Yijun Group Holdings fell 13.34%, China Xuyang Group fell 11.08%, Sany International fell 10.9%, and Zhongchuang Zhiling led the declines with a 10.21% drop.
