Recently, governance discussions are once again about "delegated voting," basically meaning you give your vote to the person who seems to understand the most, and in the end, it becomes a few big players plus several "resident representatives" taking turns to decide, which governance tokens are actually governing whom... I have a bit of OCD, so before voting, I check the other party's historical voting records, otherwise it's almost as reckless as handing your mnemonic phrase to an internet stranger. Unfortunately, hardware wallets have been out of stock lately, and phishing links are everywhere. People's security awareness has improved, but when it comes to voting, it's still quite easy to be lazy: just click delegate and consider yourself participated. Anyway, I still believe in it; at least the idea of dispersing power is worth continuing to fuss over.
