BlockBeats News, April 30. Recently, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a document that formally approved the rule change proposal submitted by the Nasdaq ISE exchange (Document No. SR-ISE-2025-26, revised by Amendment No. 5). The proposal will significantly increase the position and exercise rights limits for iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) options in the same market direction, from the original 250,000 contracts to 1,000,000 contracts.

In its approval order, the SEC said that, after reviewing the data and analysis provided by the exchange, it believes the new limit meets the requirements of Section 6(b)(5) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The purpose is to prevent fraud and manipulation and to protect investors and the public interest.
