Former Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey stated at the Bitcoin 2026 conference that he supports the documentary “Sixty Billion Dollar Man” being distributed through the Bitcoin community channels. The film, directed by Eugene Jarecki, focuses on the story of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s prosecution by the U.S. government, and has won the Cannes Documentary Award and the inaugural Golden Globe Award for Best Documentary, but was rejected for distribution by mainstream streaming platforms. Dorsey said that in 2011, when WikiLeaks was blocked from payment channels by Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal, Bitcoin became one of the few payment channels that could not be censored, and was also one of the most important real-world use cases of Bitcoin in its early days.
