U.S. Navy Mason-class destroyer enters the Middle East combat zone

Golden Finance reports that on April 30, according to CCTV International News, on April 29 local time, the U.S. side said that the U.S. Navy missile destroyer “Mason” has entered its responsibility sea area and joined the “Bush” aircraft carrier strike group to carry out missions. The ship is deployed in coordination with several destroyers and is one of the three aircraft carrier strike groups currently operating in the Middle East. Earlier reports said that the U.S. Navy’s two carrier strike groups, “Lincoln” and “Ford,” were deployed in the Red Sea and in the northern part of the Arabian Sea, respectively. “Bush” is likely to replace “Ford.” During the handover period, it is expected that the U.S. forces will form a three-carrier deployment posture in the Middle East—“Bush,” “Ford,” and “Lincoln.” (Dongxin News)
