Today I got schooled by myself again: stopping loss is really like a breakup— the longer you拖 it out, the more it feels like you’re renewing a subscription to “not compatible,” even though you’re already not in love with it anymore, you’re still forcing yourself to hold on; in the end, the pain will only keep stacking buffs. In plain terms, I used to always wait for a rebound to make a decent exit, but the market doesn’t care about being decent. The interest/opportunity cost shows up at the door on time every day, and the longer you wait, the more it feels like you’re getting tangled up by the tentacles of Article 8 of an agreement—you can barely even move.

Meanwhile, all these Layer2s are constantly comparing TPS, comparing fees, comparing ecosystem subsidies, arguing like they’re fighting with their ex’s social circle… but now I care more about this: what if one day the subsidies stop, or the bridge has a small issue—can I retreat cleanly and decisively, without locking myself into a bunch of buttons that “look really attractive.” Alright, that’s it for now.
