Iranian Foreign Minister: US and Israel's Aggression is the Root of Regional Turmoil

On April 30, according to CCTV, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian stated during a phone call with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar on April 29 that the current turmoil in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz is a direct consequence of the aggressive actions taken by the United States and Israel against Iran. According to Iranian sources, the two sides exchanged views on ceasefire, bilateral relations, and the latest developments in regional and international situations during the call. Amir-Abdollahian noted that the US continues to threaten the freedom of international navigation, and the international community should pay attention to the consequences that the US and Israel bring to global security and economic development. He also updated Jaishankar on the latest progress in ceasefire negotiations. (Dongxin News Agency)
