USS Mason Enters Middle East Combat Zone

On April 30, according to CCTV International News, on April 29 local time, the U.S. announced that the USS Mason missile destroyer has entered its designated maritime area and joined the USS Bush carrier strike group for operations. The ship is deployed alongside several other destroyers and is part of one of the three carrier strike groups currently operating in the Middle East. According to previous reports, the USS Lincoln and USS Ford carrier strike groups are stationed in the Red Sea and the northern Arabian Sea, respectively. The USS Bush is likely to replace the USS Ford. During the transition, the U.S. military is expected to establish a deployment of the USS Bush, USS Ford, and USS Lincoln in the Middle East.
