Today’s crappy weather is a mix of sunshine and clouds, just like my mood when checking on-chain data: you think you're looking at "real-time," but you might actually be watching a delayed replay… Nodes produce blocks rhythmically, RPCs still need to queue, and some public RPCs get overwhelmed and slow down; plus, indexers need to scan logs, import data, and cache, so that transaction on your wallet/dashboard that just "happened" might have already gone through several subway stops. Recently, with extreme funding rates, people in the group are arguing whether to reverse or keep squeezing the bubble. I’m just checking if my RPC is drifting or if the indexer is lagging, because otherwise, you think the market is moving, but actually, your data is catching up. Honestly, on-chain data being late is no surprise, it’s just a matter of how late.
