On April 30, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell expressed his welcome for the Justice Department’s announcement last Friday regarding the dismissal of the investigation into him. Over the past weekend, the Justice Department provided assurances that the investigation would not be restarted unless there was a criminal referral. I maintain my position that I will not leave until the Justice Department’s investigation is completely concluded. I will continue to serve as a governor after May 15, with my tenure to be determined. I will serve in a low-key role as a governor.
