Powell: Recent Rise in Inflation Expectations and Inflation

On April 30, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell stated that the PCE inflation rate for March is expected to be 3.5%, with little change in the unemployment rate. Recent inflation expectations have risen. The economic outlook remains highly uncertain. Inflation has increased recently and is at a high level. Rising energy prices will push up short-term inflation.
