Alex Mashinsky Settles FTC Case for $10M, Takes Permanent Promotion Ban

Alex Mashinsky agreed to pay the U.S. Federal Trade Commission $10 million to settle a Celsius-related case. A Southern District Court of New York ruling permanently bars Mashinsky from advertising or promoting services tied to asset deposits, trading, investments, or withdrawals. The settlement is linked to a 2023 judgment for $4.72 billion in restitution, and the $10 million payment suspends enforcement of the remaining amount.
