Just looked into summer jobs and honestly, the well paying jobs for teenagers are way better than I thought. Like, I could make $30+ an hour as a food service manager if I work my way up from restaurant experience. That's actually crazy.
But even entry-level stuff pays decent? Packagers and stockers start at $18 an hour, couriers get $18.44. The real money though is in trades - carpenters are making $28.51, construction workers $22.14. My buddy who did shop class is already eyeing apprenticeships.
Some of the well paying jobs for teenagers I didn't expect: nursing assistant ($18.96) if you're into medical stuff, or automotive tech ($23.88) if you're obsessed with cars. Office clerk jobs are around $21 an hour too, which is pretty solid for just doing data entry.
I think the key is finding well paying jobs for teenagers that actually match what you're good at. Like if you hate talking to people, don't do customer service. But if you're organized and detail-oriented, office work or admin assistant roles ($22-23/hr) could be your thing.
Anyone else looking for summer work? The well paying jobs for teenagers are definitely out there if you know where to look. Might hit up LinkedIn to build a profile or just ask around at local shops.
