Just saw that Heliogen brought in Sagar Kurada as their new CFO and Head of Strategy. Pretty interesting move - he's coming from Newlight Technologies where he was leading their financial strategy. Before that, Kurada was at Eos Energy Enterprises and actually oversaw their public market entry, so he knows how to navigate that space. Kelly Rosser was holding down the interim CFO spot since early 2023 and is staying on as Chief Accounting Officer, which is a solid transition. Heliogen's focused on AI-powered solar concentration tech for industrial decarbonization, so having someone like Kurada who understands both finance and market positioning could be key for their next growth phase. Curious to see how he shapes their strategy with that new Corporate Strategy Committee they mentioned.
