Just found out where the ultra-rich actually keep their money and it's kind of wild. So apparently if you've got serious cash, you're not just using a regular checking account like the rest of us. JPMorganChase has this Private Client thing where you get thousands in bonuses just for depositing enough. Like if you throw in $500k, they literally give you $3k back. Then there's UBS with their Cash Sweep Programs - more money in your account means better interest rates. At $5 million they're offering you 1.05% APY which honestly sounds crazy good. HSBC, Citibank, Morgan Stanley all have their own versions of these super rich bank accounts too. The common thread is they all offer stuff regular people don't get - priority service, no foreign fees, personal advisors, the whole nine yards. Makes you wonder if there's a point where normal banking just doesn't cut it anymore. Anyone else think it's wild how much banks will bend over backwards for wealthy customers?
