Just realized how many people are still paying full price for Netflix when there are so many better options out there now. Like, their latest price bump pushed it to almost $25/month for the premium tier—that's wild. Been testing some netflix alternative services lately and honestly some are way better value.

Discovery+ is actually pretty solid if you're into home improvement or cooking shows. It's like $6/month and has access to all the HGTV and Food Network stuff. Then there's Peacock which has sports, next-day NBC shows, and decent originals starting at $8. Paramount+ is similar pricing with CBS content and live sports too.

For me personally, the Disney bundle makes sense because I watch across multiple networks. It's $11/month for Disney+ and Hulu together, or you can add ESPN+ if you're into sports. Apple TV+ is pricier at $10/month but their originals like Severance are actually worth it.

But here's the thing that blew my mind—Tubi and Roku Channel are completely free. Yeah, ads, but thousands of movies and shows. FOX owns Tubi and you don't even need a Roku device for the Roku Channel. I've been using both and the content library is surprisingly decent.

The best part? No contracts. So whenever one service raises prices, you can just hop to another netflix alternative without being locked in. Honestly that's probably why streaming services keep testing price hikes—they know people will stick around anyway. Anyway, if you're looking to cut streaming costs, there's definitely options. What's everyone else using?
