Just found out you could literally have thousands of dollars in your wallet without realizing it. Been reading about rare bills still in circulation and honestly some of these are wild. Like apparently certain $2 bills from the 1928 series can fetch $4 to $175 depending on condition, and the really uncirculated ones go for way more. The 1976 Bicentennial $2 bills with errors or unique serial numbers? Those can hit $500. But here's where it gets interesting - the 100 dollar star note situation is actually insane. If you've got a 100 dollar star note from 1996, you could be looking at anywhere from $150 to $350 depending on the print run. And the 2009A series? Some of those rare printings are worth over $1,000. The $50 bills are similar - 1934 series in good condition goes for $65-$75, and the 1929 brown seal ones can be $75-$100. Basically the older the bill, the rarer it usually is, especially if it's got a star serial number or unique markings. Condition matters too - uncirculated beats circulated every time. So yeah, might be worth checking your wallet or asking your bank for older bills. Could be sitting on actual collectible money without knowing it.
