Been thinking about where to actually put money to work right now, and honestly there's some solid opportunities if you've got around $10k to deploy. Market's at all-time highs but that doesn't mean you should sit on the sidelines. I've been looking at three plays that could be the best place to invest that capital in 2026, and they're pretty different from each other.
First up is Nvidia. Yeah, I know everyone talks about it, but there's a reason. They basically own the GPU space for AI workloads, and that's not changing anytime soon. Wall Street's expecting another 50% revenue growth for their fiscal 2027, which is insane for a company this size. The new Rubin architecture launch plus continued spending from the hyperscalers should keep the momentum going. It's rare to find a company this dominant still firing on all cylinders.
Then there's MercadoLibre. This one's interesting because most people just think of it as Amazon for Latin America, but that's underselling what they've actually built. They didn't just copy Amazon's playbook - they had to build their own fintech infrastructure from scratch because Latin America didn't have the digital payment ecosystem the US had. So now they're dominant in both e-commerce and fintech in a massive region. Stock's down nearly 20% from highs right now, which is rare for them. If you're looking for the best place to invest in proven growth trends, this is worth a closer look.
The Trade Desk is the contrarian play here. They stumbled with their new AI ad platform rollout and growth slowed to 18% in Q3 - lowest in their history outside of COVID. But here's the thing people are missing: Q3 2024 had massive political ad spending that didn't exist in 2025, so the comparisons were brutal. They still kept 95% of customers, which they've done for 11 straight years. Plus they're trading at 18x forward earnings versus 22.4x for the S&P 500, while growing faster. That's the kind of setup that usually works out.
If I had $10k to put to work right now, I'd honestly consider splitting it across these three. Nvidia for the AI mega-trend, MercadoLibre for emerging market growth, and The Trade Desk for the value angle. Different exposures, different risk profiles, but all three look like solid bets for 2026.
