These days, I've been seeing a lot of narratives about PFP + memberships, and suddenly it feels like my mindset is undergoing a "version update." I was quite into the old version: changing my avatar, joining a group, and feeling like I was chosen; now after the update, I’d first ask myself: am I buying a long-term sense of identity, or just a short-term burst of attention and excitement?

That whole "attention as mining" approach with social mining and fan tokens, honestly, I was tempted too, but the more I look at it, the more it seems like treating people as mining machines... Once the hype dies down, the transaction fees and emotional costs are real money. Anyway, I now prefer to focus my attention on projects that handle details like user migration and cross-chain experience smoothly—taking it slow is fine, as long as it’s not driven by pressure. Just like that for now.
