Lenovo Group completes acquisition of Phoenix firmware business

Mars Finance News reported on April 29 that Lenovo Group officially announced it has completed the acquisition of Phoenix Technologie’s firmware (BIOS) technology business and has fully obtained the related intellectual property rights, technical assets, and the core R&D team. For a long time, this company has provided BIOS solutions for Lenovo’s ThinkPad series. Lenovo’s acquisition of these assets at this time is essentially a continuation of advancing vertical integration in the hardware industry chain, by gaining control over key IP and R&D teams and thereby strengthening its control over core links.
