Sources familiar with the situation said Iran could provide a response as early as today, or it could be delayed until Friday. The sources also said that the delay suggests there are difficulties in establishing contact with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei. The report said that all parties are showing patience in different ways.
