BlockBeats News, April 29 — According to CNN, after U.S. President Trump rejected a previous version of the peace proposal, Pakistan’s mediators expect Iran to submit a revised proposal. Sources familiar with the matter say Iran may respond as early as today, or may delay until Friday.

The sources also said that the delay suggests difficulties in establishing contact with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei. The report notes that the different parties are showing patience in different ways.

Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif told his cabinet that the Iranian Foreign Minister, who led negotiations in Islamabad over the weekend, « assured me that he will give me a response ». Although no specific timetable was provided, this public push for a response from Iran is noteworthy, especially after the White House has said its patience is running out.
