French Authorities Indict 88 After Crypto Wrench Attack Surge
French authorities indicted 88 people after a wave of violent crypto-related kidnappings known as wrench attacks. France’s National Anti-Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office said the country has recorded more than 135 such incidents since 2023. CertiK said it documented 71 incidents in 2025 that caused more than $40.9 million in losses.
