I saw the news that “Xie Hongshu” is taking a serious approach to cracking down on AI accounts. Starting from March 10, this has already gone into effect. It’s prohibited to use any techniques to imitate real users, generate automated content, or carry out interactions that aren’t genuine.
What’s interesting is that the crackdown is carried out in stages. Accounts that frequently use AI will receive warnings or be subject to content distribution restrictions, but if they rely on AI entirely, their accounts will be shut down immediately. It goes on and on—it’s pretty intense.
The platform urges users to use AI tools appropriately and to stick to sharing real content. If you find accounts that can be found to violate these rules, you can report them to the platform through the report button. It really seems like they’re serious about cracking down on this kind of deception.
