Canada proposed a nationwide ban on crypto ATMs in the Spring Economic Update 2026, targeting nearly 4,000 machines in an anti-fraud push. The government said Canadians could still buy digital assets through money services businesses, while Bill C-25 moved to committee after passing second reading to ban crypto donations to federal political campaigns.
