I can't believe that the South Korean Tax Agency made such a mistake. It turns out that in a February press release, they accidentally displayed the mnemonic phrase for recovering a Ledger wallet in a photo without pixelation. Imagine, a cryptocurrency wallet with the handwritten mnemonic visible to anyone.

The worst part is what happened afterward. According to on-chain data, someone took advantage and transferred 4 million PRTG tokens to an anonymous address shortly after. We're talking about roughly $4.8 million simply gone. Some experts point out that the department lacks basic cybersecurity knowledge, and this incident proves it quite well.

It's ironic that a government agency makes such a basic security mistake. A publicly exposed mnemonic phrase should be the number one lesson for any institution handling digital assets. What a disaster.
