I just saw the news about what happened in Iran on March 1. It seems there is some confusion in the initial reports, but according to CCTV News, the Supreme Leader Jamenei was attacked. The truth is, Iran’s political history is quite complex.
Jamenei was born in 1939 in Mashhad and has been the Supreme Leader since 1989. Before that, he served as the country’s president from 1981 to 1989.
