According to security company Blockaid, the Aftermath Finance perpetual contract protocol on the Sui Network is currently under attack, with approximately $1.1 million USDC stolen in about 36 minutes through 11 transactions. Analysis indicates that the vulnerability stems from a fee accounting flaw in the perpetual contract liquidation system, allowing the attacker to artificially inflate synthetic collateral and withdraw funds from the protocol’s treasury. Blockaid stated that it has identified and flagged the attack and is currently assisting the Aftermath Finance and Mysten Labs teams in their response, with further investigation results to be disclosed later.
