Recently, a rather notable discovery was made in the investigation into Argentina's Libra token. Electronic experts examined the confiscated phones and found communications between President Javier Milei and Mauricio Novelli, one of the key figures involved in this token project. Interestingly, most of the messages in these conversations had been completely deleted.

The forensic team analyzed the phones of three main individuals: Mauricio Novelli, Manuel Terrones Godoy, and Sergio Morales. The results showed that all personal chats and WhatsApp group messages between them were empty or had been thoroughly erased. Novelli even deleted all messages sent to his mother, who is believed to have entered a bank and retrieved content from a safety deposit box just one day after Libra's launch. While some data could potentially be recovered through forensic extraction, most of the content was permanently lost.

What makes this suspicious? If you look at the screenshots in the report, each item has a red number indicating the amount of data that could be recovered. But strangely, most of it has been completely deleted. This suggests that the act of deleting all messages might not have been accidental.

Novelli also has connections with Milei's sister, Karina, as well as others within the Libra circle. However, the content of these communications remains confidential, as prosecutors only released a general report without detailed appendices.

When asked about this issue, Milei denied any direct involvement. He argued that the participants in this token clearly understood the risks they were accepting. He even compared it to losing money at a casino—if you go in and lose, it’s your fault. This statement was made as thousands of people lost millions of dollars due to Libra’s collapse.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the discovery that key messages have been completely deleted only raises more questions about what truly happened behind the scenes beyond the public footage.
