Just found out that SolanaFloor was acquired by Jito Foundation, previously this media outlet had shut down in February due to issues with its parent company. It's interesting now that it's being brought back and acquired by a foundation focused on the Solana ecosystem.
The most important thing, according to them, is that their editorial independence remains intact, so topics, data, and reporting priorities stay separate from Jito Foundation's business. Jito President, Brian Smith, said this acquisition is to fill the gap in independent reporting on on-chain activities within Solana. It's quite promising, as there's really a need for a truly neutral media outlet in the ecosystem.
So basically, SolanaFloor will continue to operate but under Jito Foundation ownership. Details about the editorial structure and business arrangements are said to be announced later. This is an interesting move; hopefully, it can truly maintain its independence and become a credible voice for the Solana community. What do you think about this?
