Cyberspace Administration of China: Rapid development of artificial intelligence is profoundly changing content production in cyberspace
Golden Finance reports that on April 29, according to The Paper, the State Council Information Office held a press conference. At the meeting, Niuyibing, Deputy Director of the Central Cyberspace Administration of China (National Cyberspace Administration), said that, at present, new technologies in artificial intelligence are developing rapidly, profoundly changing the ways content is produced, disseminated, and interacts in cyberspace, and also raising new issues for the construction of online civilization. Niuyibing pointed out that the development of artificial intelligence provides new technological support and pathways for producing high-quality content, innovating online communication, and fostering good social values and ethical conduct, but at the same time it also brings a series of new problems, new situations, and new challenges, including the identification of false information, the protection of personal information, and the ethics and safety of AI applications. These challenges require strengthening standardized guidance and effective responses while promoting development.
This year, the Central Cyberspace Administration of China has focused on new technologies and new applications in artificial intelligence, continuously strengthening institutional input. Together with relevant departments, it has issued the “Interim Measures for the Management of Artificial Intelligence Personified Interactive Services,” and it has publicly solicited opinions from the entire society regarding the Measures for the Management of Digital Virtual Human Information Services.
