Aftermath Finance perpetual contract protocol was attacked, approximately $1.1 million USDC was stolen

Golden Finance reports that, according to security company Blockaid’s monitoring, an ongoing attack event has occurred on the perpetual contract protocol of Aftermath Finance on the Sui Network, with approximately $1.1 million USDC stolen over about 36 minutes through 11 transactions. Analysis shows that the vulnerability originated from a flaw in the fee accounting within the perpetual contract liquidation system, allowing the attacker to artificially inflate synthetic collateral and extract funds from the protocol treasury. Blockaid stated that the attack has been identified and flagged, and they are currently assisting the Aftermath Finance and Mysten Labs teams in responding. More investigation results will be disclosed later.
