Since 2014, I have been observing an interesting dataset on Bitcoin's long-term performance. Comparing Bitcoin's price to gold, silver, the S&P 500, and oil, the average annual losses are -38.0% for gold, -38.8% for silver, -37.0% for the S&P 500, and -41.0% for WTI oil. This shows how Bitcoin has performed relative to these assets.

Interestingly, the Bitcoin that started its journey 12 years ago in 2014 is now valued very differently from back then. Over this long period, understanding how the crypto market has evolved and how Bitcoin has competed with traditional assets is crucial. Such analysis has become even more important in today's market.
