I found a slightly interesting story about the assets of Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. It seems that as of last autumn, his holdings had reached an all-time high, but since then they’ve declined quite a bit. A loss of nearly $20 billion is probably directly tied to fluctuations in the BTC price.
Currently, Satoshi Nakamoto is said to rank around the top 15 on the world’s rich list as well. Even compared with famous billionaires like Alice Walton and Michael Bloomberg, his asset size is still quite substantial. I think that position is largely due to the fact that he has held Bitcoin since its early days.
When you look at how Satoshi Nakamoto’s assets have changed, you can really see just how much the prices of crypto assets can move. The asset size of early holders is also affected by market movements.
