There are different signals in the market regarding the Altcoin Season Index. On one hand, many technical charts indicate that the next major rotation is coming, but on the other hand, the Altcoin Season Indicator is still quite low — around 31. That means Bitcoin still dominates the market, and the real Altcoin Season has not yet begun.
Looking at the technical signals, the story is different. Both MACD and wedge patterns are indicating that altcoins could perform better compared to Bitcoin. Additionally, based on historical cycles, this year could be a significant turning point. But the interesting part is that the Altcoin Season Index still does not confirm that this season has truly started.
Honestly, we are currently in a "watch list" phase, not a full-blown Altcoin Season. Until there is a significant increase in the Altcoin Season Index, it remains just a possibility, not a certainty. Liquidity needs to spread from large caps to small caps before the real game begins.
