OpenAI partners with Amazon Cloud to expand AI agents
CryptoWorld News reports that OpenAI is expanding access to its generative AI models through Amazon Web Services (AWS), following a revised agreement with Microsoft that relaxes the early cloud usage exclusivity. According to the report, this update allows OpenAI to deploy its products across multiple cloud providers. The company confirmed that its models will be available via AWS, giving enterprise customers another channel to access its latest systems. Developers using AWS will be able to test OpenAI models and its Codex coding agent through Amazon Bedrock. AWS CEO Matt Garman stated that customer demand for this integration has been very strong. A key part of the rollout is the Amazon Bedrock managed agent supported by OpenAI, designed to help enterprises build AI agents capable of handling multi-step tasks. OpenAI’s relationship with Microsoft remains important, with Microsoft providing computing power since ChatGPT first launched in 2022. The revised agreement allows OpenAI to limit revenue-sharing commitments with Microsoft and serve customers across different cloud platforms.
