What an interesting week in the cryptocurrency market, huh? I was following the news about cryptocurrencies and noticed that Bitcoin dropped 0.66% last week - much less than the 3% in the previous period. The curious thing is that many altcoins performed even worse.

The Bittensor (TAO) continues to stand out, with a 4.61% increase. This token has been showing consistent strength while the rest of the market stays in the red. Meanwhile, Canton (CC) declined 2.53%, after that upward move that caught attention in March. Polkadot fell 4.81%, testing old support levels from February.

Overall, the memecoin sector took on a more positive tone this week, while altcoins like DEXE rose 1.50% and FET declined 5.60%. Chiliz dropped 3.76% - that hype around the 2026 World Cup didn’t take off as much as expected. Aave surprised with a 3.71% increase, breaking the downward trend that had been ongoing since February.

NEAR tested $1.35 and declined 4.66%. ICP fell 3.91%, reinforcing that the AI sector is quite erratic. Worldcoin (WLD) was among the worst, dropping 5.25%. Mantle and Ethena also didn’t have the best week, with declines of 0.89% and 2.22%, respectively.

Bitcoin is still at a critical point - it managed to hold support around 65.6k, but volatility remains high. It’s clear that the market is waiting for clearer signals before deciding on a direction. It’s worth paying attention to news about cryptocurrencies that could influence overall sentiment in the coming days.
