After I muted the group, I suddenly felt much more at peace...less of that anxiety of "whenever a message comes in, I have to immediately cross-chain rush in." Recently, everyone has been talking about interest rate cut expectations, the US dollar index, and risk assets rising and falling together—basically, when the macro sneezes, the chain coughs. I’d rather not be carried along by the rhythm.
Just these past couple of days, I’ve been looking into IBC/message passing and various bridges—who do you trust for cross-chain transfers? It’s not just the chain itself, but also the relay/verification system, trusting the finality of the other chain, trusting that the bridge contract isn’t written to explode, plus oracles/multisigs/operators (some of which are quite hidden). I used to only focus on “can the funds arrive,” but now I add another thought: if any part of this process gets stuck, does that mean my money just becomes “waiting for repair”? Anyway, I’ll take it slow first, finish this cup of tea, and then confirm.
