The storage industry is about to change dramatically

Today, Wuhan officially released the 2026 Major Project Plan, with a $38 billion storage capacity expansion plan officially announced.
This expansion is centered around Yangtze Memory Technologies (YMTC) and Wuhan Xinxin Semiconductor Manufacturing (XMC), focusing on the two core tracks of 3D NAND and DRAM, comprehensively enhancing production capacity and technological strength.
Yangtze Memory's Phase 3 factory has entered equipment debugging, expected to start production by the end of 2026, with two new wafer factories to be built subsequently. Once fully operational, total capacity will double directly, aiming for the third spot in global NAND flash memory.
