Recently, the narratives around parallel processing and sharding have become popular again, sounding very exciting—throughput increases, costs decrease... But I’m actually more concerned about the "bridge" part: after assets are migrated, can they be withdrawn? Will they get stuck halfway out? Which link in the contract/frontend/cross-chain message chain might fail?
These days, hardware wallets are actually out of stock again, and phishing links are also prevalent, indicating that everyone's security awareness has improved. But it’s also quite ironic—the newer and faster the technology, the more likely it is to fail due to a simple mistake like clicking the wrong link or signing the wrong authorization. Anyway, whenever I see a new chain or a new bridge, I first test it with a small amount, figure out the withdrawal process, and then consider the user experience. Otherwise, all the excitement belongs to others.
