The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reports that Trump has instructed aides to prepare for a long-term blockade against Iran in order to force it to make concessions on nuclear issues.



Trump believes the risks of resuming bombing or directly pulling out of the conflict are higher than the risks of continuing the blockade. Even if the blockade continues, it will further push up U.S. oil prices.
